Every community has landmarks that become part of how people remember a place. In Belize City, the Swing Bridge is one of those familiar landmarks, connecting the streets and the daily rhythms of the old city.
Places tell stories
A bridge, a market, a waterfront, a school or a neighborhood corner can carry memories for generations. They also give us a reason to ask people who know a place what it means to them.
We want the eSociety blog to make room for these everyday landmarks—not just the famous attractions. A photograph from Belize City is a starting point. The richer story comes from the people who have lived and worked around it.
Your turn
