Belize has six districts: Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize, Cayo, Stann Creek and Toledo. Each has neighborhoods, villages, traditions, communities and stories that deserve to be told in their own words.

More than a destination guide

The community can be a place for local perspectives: a family-run shop in Orange Walk, a school in Toledo, a creative project in Belize City, a market day in Cayo, a cultural performance in Stann Creek or neighborhood news from Corozal. These are examples of the kinds of stories we want to welcome—not reports of specific events.

There is space for coastal and inland Belize, city and village life, the cayes and the mainland, the familiar and the unexpected.

Start with your own place

Tell us which district you call home, what makes it special and what the rest of Belize ought to know about it. Visit members and the community to take part.
